POSITION TITLE: Project Officer

POSITION STATUS: Full time

REPORTING TO: Project Manager

LOCATION: FSPN AFRICA

SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Some out of normal working hours’ work is required – for example meetings and Workshops

You may be required to work from other City
Work sites may vary from time to time, and may be required to change work locations in the future (i.e. within the scope of our operations).

POSITION OBJECTIVES:
• Planning and delivering of the project, programs and activities to ensure the Organization achieves the strategic directions as set out in FSPN-Africa’s strategic plan.
• Managing allocated projects, programs and activities within time, cost and quality parameters.
• Coordinate information management requirements for Asset Services activities and programs.
• Provide input into assigned strategies, policies and plans;
• Assist with the management of Organization utilities and waste functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Plan Focus Area – Business Systems and Processes
Project Management
• Managing allocated projects, programs and activities within time, cost and quality parameters.
• Facilitate multi-disciplinary external and internal working groups on specific projects and provide assistance across internal departments on project development.
• In conjunction with other Asset Services Team members, provide relevant technical information and education to Organization staff and the community regarding the programs and initiatives delivered
• Attract wherever possible, resources and assistance for the benefit and enhancement in Burnside.
• The incumbent is responsible and accountable for adequately managing the official records he/she creates and receives according to relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
• Perform any other duties as directed by Program Manager

Administration
• Provide accurate, timely and high quality advice to the Manager Asset Services and General Manager Urban Services.
• Ensure a high quality of reporting to Organization.
• Maintain a good working relationship with Organization’s Members, partners and stakeholders.

Budget
• Operate within budget and resource constraints, monitoring and reporting as required by the program Manager.
• Contribute in preparation of Department’s budget
