Last week marked a new era for FSPN Africa. Through our valued contribution to Agriculture and Climate Action over the years, we were granted an official seat at the United Nations Policy table.
This status allows us to share our policy contributions and recommendations both written and oral with whole year-round access to the 3 three satellite UN headquarters in New York, Geneva and Vienna.
Going into the future, FSPN Africa’s Esteem team, pool of experts and leadership will be able to engage in a number of ways with the UN 🇺🇳 subsidiary bodies, the Human Rights Council and some meetings of the General Assembly and other intergovernmental bodies, as well as with the United Nations Secretariat.
FSPN Africa through its dynamic programming strives to ensure just and equitable access to safe and nutritious food at all times to the 140 million people who face acute food insecurity across Sub-Saharan (2022 Global Report on Food Crises 2022 Mid-Year Update) . Through our shared strategies, We are keen to achieve effective convenience of the farm-to-market-to-fork network through accelerated adoption of digital tools and technologies that highly leverage #AI with the principle of leaving no one behind; inclusivity by overcoming the bottlenecks to progressive adoption of digital marketing tools, designed for short-term, midterm, and long-term implementation strategies and goal.
